My version of Dorico 3.5 is accessed via a USB stick, though when I tried to open it recently an error message has popped up saying it needs to be reactivated by the software vendors support department. Has anyone else run into this issue and found a solution? I need quick access back into Dorico within the next few days at the latest.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the forum.
What operating system are you using? Can you create a screenshot of the error message and upload it here?
As a first test I would start the Steinberg Download Assistant, because it will check if the tools, like the eLicenser Control Center, are up to date. If not it will install the latest version and then you can do the check again.
Thanks for the reply, im on a 2021 MacBook Pro, this is the error message. When I attempt to open the download assistant it says there is no connection to the download server.
Thanks again!
Have you installed the latest release of the Download Assistant, in case not please start with the download and installation from here
The error message points to a problem of the Soft eLicenser, which is basically some file on your disk. Did you clean up your disk recently or deleted some files? It looks like the required files have been changed in some way.
After making sure the latest Download Assistant is installed and also has updated the eLicenser Control Center I think you need to reactivate the license. How this is done is described in this support article
Thankyou, this is worked and Dorico will now open as normal, however playback isn’t working, with no audio for most instruments. In the download assistant I have downloaded all the updates under Dorico 3.5, and they are all downloaded but will not open, and are showing the error message telling me to check the download directory or download the product again.
Thanks again !
