Hi, I’ve been using Dorico Essentials 5 since about early January. When I tried to get on, it refused to open. I would double-click on the Dorico desktop icon to open, the loading wheel would spin next to my cursor for about half a second, but then the wheel would disappear and nothing would happen. There’s no error message or code or anything like that. It’s as if I hadn’t even clicked on it. Does anybody know a potential solution?
Did you try to reboot the computer?

Yes, however it still had the same issue.
After waiting about 30 minutes and restarting my laptop for the 4th time, it has finally seemed to work. I’m not sure what the initial problem was or why it took four restarts, but it seems to be fixed now.
Was anything running on your computer the first time you tried that might have monopolized the sound card or otherwise prevented the Dorico Audio Engine from running?
I suggest you post a Diagnostic Report to see if that might contain some information diagnosticians would find helpful.
Nothing else was running, at least to my knowledge. I had everything closed. I’ll try running the report, thank you!
