Since I’m traveling I try out the iPad version and hit some roadblocks right away. I want to make a duplicate of a Layout so I can create an alternate transposition. This is pretty easy in the Desktop version but the functionality doesn’t seem to be there in the iPad version. Or maybe I’m just missing it.
I’m logged in but have not yet ponied up for the additional features in a subscription. Does anyone know if the subscription would unlock these features? I don’t mind paying the extra money, but only if it serves my needs.
Thanks, Janus. This is helpful. I don’t think I’ll get a subscription if it’s not up to “Pro” level. It can still be useful, but it will teach me to do any serious editing before leaving home.
Dorico for iPad is equivalent to Dorico Elements.
I actually like, that it has slightly reduced functionality. Since I use the iPad with Dorico I have not touched my Laptop computer (MacBook Pro) for almost 2 years. I am a lot on the road and I can proofread, correct, and setup new projects on the iPad, so I am a very happy camper with this solution. I access/synch my Dorico project files via iCloud. Before sending something out to a customer I would do some layout fine tuning at home on my desktop computer. But I have also sent projects to customers straight from the iPad. With some little tricks this is entirely possible.
I have bought the lifetime license so I feel I have contributed a tiny bit to the development of the app, and at the same time I don’t have to think about it anymore.
