Dorico for iPad mixer doesn’t save changes

Hi there,

I recently bought the new iPad Pro and some SWAM-Instruments. It works great. But since I mix iconica and swam instruments, i have to change the volumes in the mixer. When I close and re open the project the fader position is saved. But they don’t respond to the volume change until I touch them once. Paning is not saved at all.

It was the same with my previous I pad air (before M1 chip).

Ist that a known issue?

Also it would be great if a future version of Dorico for iPad would take advantage of the function where you can press the pencil and a drop down menu opens right in front of it. I would suggest the settings that you find above the virtual keyboard. And of course the ability to input the selected note with the pen (like you could do with the mouse).

I noticed it doesn’t save changes…
Is SWAM an audio unit or a VST? Just curious.

I think vest is not available in iPad os. So it’s AU

The point is, this is a known issue.

This isn’t a known issue. I’ll look into this and come back to you once I’ve investigated.

it is interesting that no one has mentioned it before. maybe it is note the case with every ipad.

could you find out if it is a general problem already?

Odd. I assumed that there would be more than two reports of this.

On my M1 and M4 iPads the mixer saves the slider positions but the actual volume level is not set to the slider value when you load a project.

exactly

are there any news on the problem?

I’m sorry, I’ve not had a chance to dig into this yet. I will update this thread when I have done so.

Thank you

To close the loop on this issue: with apologies for the delay in fixing this problem, today’s Dorico 5.1.80 release resolves this issue.
