I can’t see any settings under Preferences so I am I right in assuming that windowed mode - running Dorico alongside another program - is not possible on an iPad?

Yes, it would be tight but with the side panels closed, not that difficult on an iPad 12.9”

Yes, it’s not possible at the moment to split windows in Dorico for iPad. I think Daniel commented that they were planning to add it in due course. At the moment, if I wan to transcribe something I’ve jotted down in GoodNotes I just open GN in slide over. It’s a bit clunky and small to work with, but it works. Alternatively, I open GoodNotes (or some other app) on the iPhone.
