Hello again. I really appreciate all of the quick responses from you all. However yesterday I lost 4 hours of work due to Dorico freezing during a save. I originally thought I screwed up the project file somehow. Upon investigation I realized that the project file itself was not damaged nor was it causing the issue. I pulled up a backup copy that had not been changed, just changed one note and during the save it also froze. The only solution was to reboot. Do you have any suggestions on a fix for this annoying problem?
When Dorico freezes on saving, that is a strong indication that the audio engine crashed or frooze itself. To find out more, please do from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostics Report and post the corresponding zip file here. Thanks
Thanks for the data, but there are no crash or freeze dumps contained. Would you please get the free utility Process Explorer and run the procexp64.exe the next time it happens. Then find in the list of processes Dorico.exe and VSTAudioEngine.exe (pretty much at the end of the list), highlight an item, do a right click and choose Create dump > Create mini dump, zip up the output and post here.
