I am having problems with Dorico 5 not responding. It’s a new laptop, windows 11. When it freezes nothing works. I’ve force-quitted VST engine, restarted the program, reinstalled Dorico but to no avail and I have no idea what is causing the problem. I have Finale on my PC and Noteperformer, but no other 3rd party plugins. The CPU at 12% seems to be normal also. Any suggestions would be welcome.
In order to find out, please download the free utility program called Process Explorer.
When Dorico and/or the VSTAudioEngine are frozen, open procexp64.exe and in the list of processes look for Dorico and VSTAudioEngine, highlight each and do a right-click and choose from the menu Create dump > Create mini dump. Save the file, zip it up and attach to a reply here. Thanks
