Dorico iPad problems OS26 top bar cuts-off

using ipad chip A16 and dorico 6.1 apple pencil/fingers -setup mode flows seems to trigger entire window jumping up and out of the visual display, cutting off top bar, have to reboot app. Has also occurred randomly while in write mode.

Thanks for your report, @GoldAxe. Can you clarify what steps are required to reproduce this problem? Are you really just tapping the Setup mode button from the menu at the very left of the toolbar?

Difficult to pinpoint exactly, but when I go into setup mode and edit flow names for example, the app glitches up 1/2” up out of the ipad’s display; also happened while in write mode a couple of times when going into view mode, but I’m more fuzzy on that. Seems random but not consistent and easily identifiable.

Just guessing here, but might it be related to ipadOS26 new multiple window functionality and how the window can be resized?

Another possibility, as I multitask from one window to the next it may trigger the glitch.

I had a similar problem for a few days, but either a more recent upgrade to the ipad OS or Dorico resolved it.

Is there an upgrade available for you in the AppStore for Dorico that you haven’t applied – or an iOS update pending by any chance?

Everything’s up to date, i just doublechecked.

Hi, FYI, despite latest update, I had another window moving incident: Jump function- split beam - window moves when I press Enter

Same problem here. Frequent and therefore frustrating. Lifetime sub. All up to date. 2025 model ipad. Only closing and reopening Dorico program fixes until the next occurrence. Apple window maximize does not fix. Dorico play button bar and all its contents out of view (including exit, play, stop, use setup, options, etc.).

I can’t add any more than a “me too”.

I’ve been using Dorico for a while on my PC, and just got an iPad, with a portable version of Dorico being one of the main reasons. I haven’t been able to identify exactly what causes this, but it’s happened maybe five or six times in the last hour or two of using it this morning. The only solution I’ve found is, as above, to quit and restart.

EDIT: While this problem is still occurring very frequently, I’ve found that–using the keyboard on my iPad–pressing Shift+P is obviously selecting something higher on the screen that resets the view.

Still a bug, but this workaround seems to make it manageable for the moment.

Thanks, will try if it happens again. Just updated to 6.2. Havent had the issue in the last week on previous ver. New issue unable to float/move the edit note overlay. Snaps back partially hiding left-hand editing buttons. , will post separately.

Actually, just as a minor update, I found that J for the jump menu worked more consistently across all screens than Shift+P.
