Dorico lagging with any score edits

Please help, I’m at my wits end.

I’ve been using Dorico for a while now but about a year ago I started noticing slower load times when inputting notes, selecting parts of the score as well as deleting notes from the score. I have never called myself an expert at Dorico but I managed just fine until those issues started. It has become worse and worse over time and now Dorico is basically unusable and my workflow is at a snail’s pace.

I use dorico 6 elements and I’ve copied and pasted down below my system info.

I also created a diagnostics report of one of my current projects.

Any help would be appreciated I’m at a loss. :frowning:

Sorry to hear that. (Welcome to the forum!)
It seems to me that your computer unfortunately is a bit too underpowered to be able to run Dorico smoothly. Are you working on a much larger project than normally?

Compare your system with Dorico’s recommended specifications here:
System Requirements for Steinberg Products | Steinberg

Unless I’m reading it wrong I think I have at least the minimums needed. I tend to be a maximist so yeah I’m guaranteed to be working on a big project. Might be time for a new computer if I’m being realistic.

Do you have condensing on?

I have a much more powerful setup than you do, but Dorico still runs very slowly on large projects (800+ bars, 50 staves) if condensing is enabled.

If you have more than one window open, that can also affect responiveness.

I saw that online before and looked up how to turn condensing off only to discover that apparently dorico 6 elements doesn’t have that feature, only the pro version does. Also no I do not have multiple tabs open. Can I ask what type of setup you have?
