Hello everyone,
I’m using Dorico 6 → Vienna Ensemble Pro → Cubase 15.
In Dorico, I control articulations via CC messages (no keyswitches), and playback in Cubase via VEP is working correctly.
My question is more about workflow harmonization between Dorico and Cubase:
-
CC data exported from Dorico appears in Cubase only as track automation in the Project window, not as MIDI CC data in the Key Editor.
-
Articulation choices made in Dorico do not appear as articulation events in Cubase’s Articulation / Expression lane.
From a user perspective, it would be ideal if:
-
All CC-based articulation data from Dorico were visible and editable in Cubase’s Key Editor CC lanes, and
-
Dorico articulation choices could be translated into Cubase articulation events, so they appear in the Articulation lane.
Is this currently a technical limitation by design, or is there any planned or recommended workflow to better align Dorico’s CC-based articulation system with Cubase’s articulation/expression system?
I’m curious whether deeper integration between Dorico and Cubase in this area is possible or planned.
Thank you!
