I have purchased Dorico Elements 5 on my Macbook Air with the M1 chip. Yet it is only opening as Dorico SE? What should I do?
Welcome to the forum, @cmasterson. Run Steinberg Activation Manager, and you should see your new Dorico Elements license in there. Click Deactivate for Dorico SE and Activate for Dorico Elements, and that should take care of it.
Thank you @dspreadbury! So, when I did this I found out that for some reason, my license to Elements 5 does not exist anymore. It still shows up in my license manager, and I have the receipt for my purchase so I do not understand why my license would suddenly not appear as activated. Is there any way to reactivate my license so I can use the software?
You should be looking in the Steinberg Activation Manager (SAM) rather than the Licenser to check the authorization of any version of Dorico from 4.0 on up.
Yep, just checked and it is telling me that my trial has expired, which is weird because I am looking at my purchase receipt in my email from a month ago and I bought the actual version of Docio Elements for students.
Did you type the access/download code from your receipt into the box in the Steinberg Download Assistant?
(At any rate, @dspreadbury or someone from Dorico will likely check in soon to give you a hand.)
Chris, can you forward me the receipt you received from the online shop? You can send it to me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de.
