I’ve run into an issue where older files have playback but newer ones do not. I’ve tried reloading playback templates, switching templates, trying other VSTs, and nothing works. I am running Dorico Pro 5.1.81 on an M1 Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please load a project that does not play back and then do from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report. That creates a zip file on your Desktop, please attach that one to a reply here. From the contained data I get a first overview and then can come up with more specific advice. Thanks

Hi @jeff4 , it is pretty simple: According to the mixer model all gain values of all channels are set to minus infinity, i.e. all channel faders are closed and you won’t hear a thing.
Either you open the mixer window or go to the Play mode and look at the lower mixer pane, do they show all faders down?
Btw, somewhere in the Dorico Preferences is a value where you can set the default level when creating a new project.
Solved! I’m not sure how I set the mixer output to the lowest default setting but it’s fixed. Thank you!
