I bought the upgrade and followed the install instructions. The Dorico Pro 6 loaded but shows an error with a missing component. So, that’s out, no help there. It was the same for Cubase 14 failed install and again, no help. But HOW do I find the Iconica Opus and Etude in the installation application? They are not showing up under any of the headings on the left side. Surely some of their software has some chance of working.
So you used the Steinberg Download Assistant (SDA) and clicked “Install All”?
One more thing to mention: When you bought the full version of Etude, you still need to have the Etude Elements installed, because Dorico will complain if it can’t find Etude Elements and then also will not list any factory playback templates.
OK, great responses. So, Etude Elements should be next to Etude. What about Iconica Opus, is it down the alphabetical list under VST instruments & Plug ins??? How do I see what I have licensed? Is that on the installer now too? I am used to the old methods with the eLicenser. I even have the USB plugs and everything. I go back to Cubase 8.
My purchase of Iconica Opus was listed under my products after I entered the the purchase code after hitting Redeem Code. The only issue with Iconica Opus is downloading the huge sets of files. The Download Manager does not always play nicely: 1) download fails spontaneously and 2) despite specifying a download location, one never knows where it will place part of the download files if a download location is an external drive.
The download is just shy of 200GB so I chose an external SSD as my download location and it was just pure misery for 3 1/2 days downloading and then having to manually install the instruments…not nice.
Yes and yes.
And the old eLicenser you only need for older software (like Cubase 8). Since Dorico 3.5 we introduced the new Steinberg Licenser. You have now also installed the Steinberg Activation Manager which shows your licensed products under then new Steinberg Licenser. Note, after purchasing a license, you receive a redemption code that you enter in the Steinberg Download Assistance, but in a last step you need to activate the license and that’s what you do in the Steinberg Activation Manager.
In case you still have questions, please ask.
