Dorico putting multiple instruments/players into one channel in the mixer

Hello, Dorico keeps putting multiple instruments/players into one channel in the mixer so that I cannot individually adjust each fader. Like right now, I have a Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, and Tenor Sax in my score, but all playback for those instruments is being routed through the “Flute” channel on the mixer, so that I cannot balance the audio between the different instruments. Please advise.

I guess you’re using NotePerformer? That’s the way it works. Each instance hold 16 instruments, and Dorico has thr signal on tracks 1, 17, 33 etc. If you want one instance per instrument, use David Tee’s playback template (NotePerformer SO).

I am currently using Kontakt, and I have MIDI Ch. 1 assigned to Flute, Ch. 2 to Clarinet, etc. I also have the Routing in Dorico set to the appropriate port. It was working fine earlier.

When using Kontakt, you need to set the Kontakt outs up, as I explained in this thread.
[Edit]I discovered in the meantime that the possibility of showing the outputs window in Kontakt 7 had been made impossible if you chose to show Kontakt 7 as a minimum sized window (which is something absolutely wrong from a GUI point of view, I think — it was already complicated, now it’s utterly absurd!). I will edit my post to troubleshoot that situation!

Where can I find this template? Thank you.
