Dear Dorico friends,
I am a user of Dorico Pro 6.1.10 and often work with my students who use Dorico SE, sharing project files with them. Since the release of Dorico Elements 6.1.10, I have encountered the following issue:
When I share my Pro files (pieces for piano), Dorico SE does not play them back. After some investigation, I discovered that HALion Sonic 7 in my Pro version loads the Concert Grand Elements sound, which SE apparently cannot play. SE instead defaults to the Yamaha S90ES Piano, and playback works fine when I manually switch to this sound.
My question is: as far as I know, SE uses the same program as Pro, with the license determining the available features. Could it be that SE simply does not include the new Concert Grand Elements sound?
I have installed all available updates for SE through the Steinberg Download Assistant, but this issue remains unresolved.
