Dorico Sidebars Disappear After Computer Sleeps

Hello All,

I have had this strange bug ever since Dorico 5 where items start missing on the sidebars after I wake up my computer. The only workaround I have found is to restart Dorico after my computer sleeps. Any solutions? I am currently running Version 5.1.10.2081 on a Mac with M2.

Thanks!

What OS version, and what display is it? I haven’t seen this on my MBP or Mini.

Is there anything non standard, like a third-party font; or some additional software that might affect the screen display?

I’ve never seen this before, either. If you close and reopen the sections on the panel, does that help? What about closing and reopening the project?

I am happy to say that this bug seems to have been “fixed” within the new update 5.1.21. I have not encountered this issue since!

Although I still encounter strange errors when logging back on to my computer with dorico still open. See image attached. It is unusually enlarged. I am running this on a monitor with a mac studio Sonoma 14.3.1.

Yes, these issues with certain UI elements appearing at the wrong magnification when the computer wakes from sleep, especially when multiple displays are connected, remains on our radar, though we are pretty sure the problem is in the Qt framework that Dorico is built on. Unfortunately, this problem is hard to reproduce on demand and in particular is hard to reproduce in a trivial test app, so providing a reproducible case to the Qt developers is itself difficult.
