Dorico slow to load Kontakt or freezes all together before at launch

I’m running Dorico 3.5.12 on a 2010 Mac pro (os 10.14.6, 3.06 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon, 64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3) and as I develop more of my playback templates and expression/percussion maps I just hangs. I recently upgraded to Kontakt 6, and it worked for a while until running into the same issues.

I’ve attached the file with the expression/perc maps, spindump, and the dorico file

VDL Template 3.29.21.dorico (820.1 KB) Dorico Info.zip (1.2 MB)

Hi Eric, the project loads fine with me and though I have Kontakt, I don’t have that VDL library.
From the spindump it appears that Dorico’s audio engine is stuck in Kontakt code and therefore Dorico waits indefinitely for a response.
Could you also please get in touch with Native Instruments and provide them the spindump. Only they can tell what Kontakt is doing there.

So I just did a clean wipe of the computer and loaded only Dorico and Kontakt. I’m having the exact same issues. I have contacted NI, and they sent a program to run on my computer, but I’m not sure anything else is happening on their end.

I looked through their forums too, and noticed you had been on there too. Any luck in a response from them?

Hi Eric, maybe we can have a remote screen sharing session, so that I get a better picture of what is happening on your machine. Please send me a private message and we sort the details.

Wonder if this is related -

I struggled to bring mine up also yesterday including reboots and with non-Kontact libraries, but I noticed it was the first of the month. So I brought up the eLicenser separately and let it refresh. It took a long time BTW - much longer that I would have waited for Dorico except the eLicenser has a progress bar that moved however slightly.

Licenses refreshed, I loaded Dorico and it came up very fast.

I wish that was the case gdball.

I had this issue before, and now I have a fresh install on my machine and everything is up to date and I’m having the exact same issue.
