I’ve created a Dorico template for the new Orchestral Tools Berlin Solo Strings. The library features a range of special longs and shorts so I’ve made many additions to playing and playback techniques. No doubt at some stage it will be advantageous to use the alias option. In addition dynamics and ornaments are catered for by means of a separate set of samples. Therefore at present there are two lines for each solo player, one covering the longs and shorts articulations, the other the dynamics and ornaments articulations. This is my first attempt at building a template for Berlin Solo Strings so any suggestions are very welcome.
Yes, the latest Berlin Solo Strings. The sample library that came out a couple of weeks back. In this first draft I’ve used the original library articulation names regardless of their length. The same applies to the number of articulations. I’ve included everything. At least then you can decide what changes or exclusions you want to make but you’ll know what was there to begin with.
