The Right Way to Engrave Classical Music in Dorico Pro! - YouTube
Well, in an unexpected way, the new video shows it’s not the newest version, but at least we know Dorico 6 is used :-).

I just updated the name to 6 lol! forgot to add it!
Do you guys like this sort of tutorial? I thought it would help out since its not focused on one thing and it mixes a lot of different things from note input to engraving! I am always interested in hearing your thoughts.
I’m more text based, prefer more reading manuals than watching videos.
A video is for me nice as a first overview so you can watch it from the start to the end. But if I’m searching for a solution for a problem I have, I don’t have the patience to watch 20 or 40 or 60 minutes of video in the hope that problem will be addressed.
So I will watch very short videos, 1 issue at the time. Or, as Dorico does in its own videos where timestamps are provided in the video description, I jump directly to the part I’m interested in, skipping the rest.
I’m more of a “show me” person – I find that it takes me additional time to parse out a manual or text-based instruction — especially now with increasing visual problems. So, yes, I prefer video tutorials. However, I tend to not use them because it’s often too hard to find what I need. In general (not commenting about your videos – they’re on my to-do list to check out), titles are not focused enough to be relevant, or it is difficult to get to what I need. When the video covers a lot of ground, I often need to scroll through to get to the content I need – often without the benefit of a timestamp menu of some sort.
For me, short, to the point segments are best but overviews can be helpful as well — especially if there’s a “for more info” link for a closer look.
Thanks for taking the time to make them!
