Dorico vs Cubase Tempo Track

I exported a tempo track from Dorico. It saves it as a midi file. When attempting to import this to Cubase using Import>Tempo Track… the midi file from Dorico is greyed out so it appears that Tempo Track in Dorico means something different in Cubase even though they are made by the same company!

If I import the midi file into Cubase I only get the markers and not the tempo information. Surely it should be easier than this.

Yes, I’m afraid a tempo track in Cubase is a different kind of file than a MIDI file. But you should be able to use the MIDI import feature in Cubase to import the MIDI file into your Cubase project and affect only the global tempo track.
