Hi Alan, and welcome to the forum! See Daniel’s pinned FAQ thread. Search or scroll the page to find the help instructions for BlueTooth headphones.
(Read the whole thread while you’re there; it has lots of important info.)
And actually, from the log files I see following: You had 5 runs with Dorico so far (including the unfinished run when you took the diagnostics). On the first 3 runs Dorico did not recognize your Accentum headphone, on the current and previous run, it did get recognized but not chosen for playback.
You need to go to Edit > Device Setup and in the drop down list for ASIO drivers choose the Accentum. If you do that, I see no reason why sound shouldn’t get through.
Hi Ulf
When I go to Edit> Device Set and then dropdown the ASIO list, Accentum is not included as an option. Here’s what I see:
Do you have any further advice? I’m a Finale transfer and this is, of course, very frustrating.
Thanks for your assistance.
Alan
Your sample rate is set to 88200Hz, is the Accentum capable of doing such high sample rates? My experience with BT Headphones is that they only go until 48kHz, quite often exclusively 48kHz and not even 44.1kHz.
What if you change the sample rate in that dialog there, does the Accentum then appear in the dropdown list? You might need to close the dialog once and then reopen.
Thanks for this suggestion.
I made the change but Accentum still does not appear in the dropdown list.
Alan
Please send a fresh diagnostics. Thanks
Actually, if this did work, I wonder why settings further down the list would influence selection options from higher up. Maybe this form should then be updated so the sample rate comes before the driver drop down.
@Estigy , in theory you are right, I just don’t know how it is actually implemented.
Hi Ulf
I’ve attached a fresh diagnostics report.
Thank you

Hi Alan, I’ve had a closer look at the log files again, and indeed, your Accentum only supports 44.1kHz (and 16kHz but let’s forget about that one).
So please do the following, start Dorico and set it to Built-in Audio and switch the sample rate to 44.1kHz. Apply and close and then restart Dorico. I think then you should be able to select you Accentum in the driver list.
Am I correct?
Thank you so much for taking all this trouble. I’m afraid I don’t see Accentum in the list. Each time I work on a piece I have to go through the complicated routine I previously reported. In other words the playback via headphones doesn’t stick.
??
Alan
But to me this appears to be a contradiction. You say it does not appear in the list and then you say, you have to go through the complicated routine. So the compicated routine is going to Edit > Device Setup and select the Accentum from the drop-down list, right? But you say it is not in the list, so I don’t understand what you are doing. Maybe we could have a FaceTime call and you show me what you are doing.
HI Ulf
After switching my computer off completely and restarting I’m pleased to say Accentum appeared in the right list.
Thanks for your help.
Alan
