Bug Report – UI Display Glitch and MIDI Input Crash in Dorico
Dear Dorico Development Team,
Hello! I’d like to report two issues I encountered while using the latest version of Dorico:
Issue 1: Time Signature Vertical Position Setting – UI Display Bug
- Description: When I open Layout Options using Command + Shift + L, and navigate to the section for setting the vertical position of time signatures, I noticed that the text in that panel is overlapping and unreadable.
- Details :
- The display issue persists even after changing the interface language (e.g., switching between Chinese and English).
- The settings themselves still work—this appears to be purely a UI/visual glitch.
- Steps to Reproduce :
- Open any Dorico project;
- Open Layout Options via Command + Shift + L;
- Navigate to the Time Signature vertical position settings;
- Observe overlapping text in that section.
Issue 2: Crash When Using MIDI Keyboard Input in Piano Roll View (Galley View)
- Description: While inputting notes via a MIDI keyboard in the Piano Roll (Galley View) , Dorico occasionally crashes with a EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) error.
- Details :
- The crash occurs sporadically, not every time;
- It happens across multiple projects, so it does not seem to be project-specific;
- I have never encountered this issue in previous versions (3, 3.5, or 4).
Please find attached the crash log for Bug 2 (the issue involving MIDI keyboard input in Galley View:
