Dotted 1/4 instead of 1/4 tied to 8th

I need a dotted 1/4 instead of 1/4 tied to 8th at a rhythmic slot where you’d ordinarily not do it that way.

Any way to do this? I’ve experimented with force duration and lock duration but no dice.

Force duration should work. If you select the tied 1/4, press 5 for 1/8, then o for force duration, then 6 for 1/4, and finally dot?
