Double all note durations, and the meter

I would like to change a piece written in 4/4 meter mostly of 16th notes, 8th notes, tuplets, and dotted 8th notes, into the same piece with all the note durations having double the previous value. After trying the various Write/Edit durations options, I have not been successful. Is there a way?

Selecting everything, making sure Insert mode is active by pressing I, then choosing Write > Edit Duration > Double Note Duration should work on all the notes. Then it’s a case of replacing the 4/4 time signature with a 4/2 one (if desired).

If you have many tuplets that might be a problem.

You can use Write > Change Durations > Double Note Durations with Insert mode switched on. Tuplets will at present pose a problem, so hopefully you don’t have too many of those.

Apply Double/Halve Note Values also to Time Signatures

Hi everybody, I’m currently orchestrating a piece for a client who has notated everything in an eighth note pulse and for readability reasons, I’d like to notate it in quarter note pulse instead. I know how to double note vaues globally. However this piece has a lot of time signature changes. So the problem is that I can double the note values but Dorico still tries to squeeze them into the same bar grid as the original piece. Is there a way to also double the time signatures globally in length…
