I need to insert a double bar line at the end of my 2nd repeat as shown here. When I do this I loose the new bar repeat on my next bar line? One cancels the other out. How can I do this in Dorico Elements please?
Assuming that the next forward repeat is at the start of the system following your second ending (it’s not in the screenshot), there is a specific setting in Engraving options>Barlines to change the barline at the end of a system followed by a forward repeat. That will apply project-wide. You can also do that for a single instance by selecting the forward repeat and change it in the properties panel according to these steps:
