Hi, in my search for creating a double barline at the beginning of a staff system I did find this question but not the solution. Is this not possible in Dorico Pro 5?
As in a systemic barline: no, that’s not currently possible without manual work, I’m afraid.
As in a double barline at the end of a system that is immediately followed by a repeat barline: that’s possible.

here a method to set double systemic barline:

set Small ensemble in Layout Options for the desired Layout:

adjust as desired the following red marked Engraving Options (for fine adjustments press Shift+alt+command(control) and click on the little arrows to change the values). Notice that the Bracket distance from systemic barline should be a negative value:
(This is to compensate for the negative Bracket distance from systemic barline):

In case you have only one staff in your score you need to set these additional Layout Option (for the desired Layout) and Notation Options (for the desired Flow) as follow:
