Double barline

Please I’M trying to add a double barline on one bar only. When I follow the instructions I get all measures with double barlines. How can I correct this. Please explain me the proper procedure. Many thanks for your help

In Write mode:

  • Select the barline you want to change
  • Open the Bars and Barlines popover with Shift+B
  • Type || or double and hit Enter

@asherber gives the most efficient and recommended method. But if you can’t remember the shortcuts, you can always select the barline and change it from the right panel:
