Tested fader setting, pan setting, inspector settings (several), BPM tempo, time sig and more,… evrything works ok. This is on CB pro 15, win11 on a laptop.
So it can not be a cubase problem as such.
Entering a different name for a track via doubleclick was solved by resetting the preferences back to factory defaults (holding Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Alt/Option during launch > dialogue window) a couple of days ago in the German forum. The issue migrated over multiple Cubase versions in that case.
This solution might work for @redduskstudio , not necessarily for other cases which have been reported in this thread.
this unfortunately did not work for me, the problem is still there.. This behavior was not happening from cubase 6 to 13 in my case, but it’s like that on every project that have like 3 songs or more, and if I don’t activate the project the double click works like it should… but when the same project is activated the double click is unreliable.
It’s a plug-in that causes the double click issue, not Cubase. Deactivate 1 at a time and you’ll find the culprit. No fix I know of yet. Mine is a guitar amp plug in
does this happen with (defective?) third party plugins or steinberg plugins too? asking because i want to switch daws, coming from a daw where you cannot even enter values at all. so i wanted to make sure i buy the right thing
Not in my case - it doesn’t even work correctly when opening a blank new session with Cubase in Safe Mode….
That sucks, weird how an app would do that in my case, my fav app too. I’m on windows 11 v15 and is the only time this has been an issue. Tried different mice wireless and corded in different ports too and nothing fixed it. Keep us updated if you figure it out.
I have been having this problem for a long time also, double click just does not work half the time, its extremely annoying
Has a solution been found for this? Or is this an officially reported bug that the’y’re working on?
Mine does the same. Seems like it requires 3x the normal double click speed to work. EG if I do normal double click most of the time it ignores me but if I do raging super-fast angry double-(or quadruple) click then it works.
No problems anywhere else in the windows or other apps, not a single glitch, perfect mouse, new battery etc etc. Just the Cubase 15. 14 didn’t have this problem.
There are two more options:
An officially reported bug that they’re not working on.
A bug not officially reported.
Is there a solution for this yet? I’m wasting time each day trying to double-click on the tempo box, sometimes for minutes on end. Get your act together Steinberg, this very expensive Pro program is behaving like some dodgy knock-off software, or a beta test product. We don’t deserve this.
