Double click on midi event erases it Cubase 15

I’m finding that double clicking on a midi event with the selector tool in Cubase 15 erases that event. Is there a way of changing this annoying behaviour? Thanks for any suggestions. I’m on a Mac. Same thing happens on Cubase 14 by the way.

Why double click, instead of a single one? What should happen instead? It’s pretty standard - in DAWs - that double clicking erases things.

… simply because it’s very easy to double click by mistake!

Search for this icon in the Key Editor’s tool bar…

If you activate this mode you will open the Note Expression editor instead of deleting a note when accidentally double clicking it.

That’s one of my favorite features. It makes sense, since you can also double-click to add notes.

Hey, thanks, that is a great solution! Wow, the things you can learn on this forum …..:slightly_smiling_face: … thanks to those kind souls who take the trouble to reply.

If you mark the post that you felt is the solution as the “solution” then future readers can see the answer directly underneath your initial post.

thanks for the reminder Johnny
