Double Clicking doesn't create MIDI Part anymore, instead it creates a pattern?

Hello, I just recently upgraded to Cubase Pro 14 and now when I double-click in a loop area on an instrument track, it creates a pattern and not a midi part. How can I change the default behavior to add a MIDI part when I double-click?

This?

As sempondr showed the default event for midi and instrument tracks can be set up in the “Add Track” dialog. Furthermore it can be set up in the Inspector on a track by track basis at any time:

And last but not least: Holding Ctrl/Cmd (PC/Mac) and then creating an event by double clicking in the project will create the opposite kind of event to what is defined in the Inspector.

Thanks all. I didn’t realize that after you select Midi part in the “add track” section, it remembers the last selection. I thought there was a check box in the settings or something.
