Hi all,
I think I never encountered this type of breath mark notation:
I guess the double one means a bit more breath, right?
But is this standard, or should one use single comma and then for instance a // ?

I’ve never seen this and my first impression is that it’s a mistake. I’m a brass player though and from the unbeamed eighths I’m assuming this is from a vocal score, so I’m out of my depth there. I don’t know in what software your screenshot was created, but in Finale it would have been pretty easy to add two of those by accident.
Yes, vocal score. The double comma appears in two different places, so it seems to be on purpose. It is Finale though.
Haha, then it seems intentional. If it is meant as a “bigger breath” indication, Dorico also has the \/ type breath mark (which is what I pencil in as a reminder to take sufficient breath, but again, not a singer).
I will talk to the composer of course, but I am very much in favor of using standard notation for this – not sure what that would be though.
Definitely not standard notation.
