So I have a piece in 6/8 triple meter I was hoping to easily re-notate in 4/4 time with the 16th notes becoming 8th or 16th note triplets. I’m not having much luck with this. After changing the time to 4/4, I find I cannot turn existing notes into triplets. (something I think has been noted already as coming soon).
I eventually entered new 16th note triplets in 4/4 time manually… then realized that they would be better as eighth note triplets, so I tried selecting the bar and using the Double Duration feature, but this didn’t change them from 16ths to 8ths like I had hoped.
Am I misunderstanding how the double durations feature works with triplets?
