Double notes being recorded in score

Trying Cubase AI 12 , MacOs Catalina.

Connected to midi (Yamaha keyboard - DGX670) - as I play Cubase annotates my score. However, a complete mess - each note is recorded twice. Bizarre - the same happens with other software such as GPro 8.

Probably you should turn off local control on the keyboard
