Also, now when I try to requantize let’s say a flute run of 3+3 sixteenth triplets and for some reason, another 3-bracket is added on top which messes it up and I want to undo - the undo command doesn’t work. This means I’ll have to delete the whole thing and manually enter each note to recreate it. This has to be a bug.
Carlster76,
There’s no point bumping a thread, especially since you’ve already received a reply from the „head developer“, Daniel;
Best is to stay patient and use the two step procedure, utilising Insert Mode - as described above. It is not really that difficult, especially as you are already an experienced Dorico user.
Well, after 5 years paid experience using this software there are still so many things that are just over-complicated (including this very issue) making me doubt if Dorico really is for me. However, the market isn’t exactly flooded with professional alternatives so despite my intense frustration, I really try hard to like it, but that’s for another discussion.
Thanks for the heads-up though. I won’t bump this thread anymore.
Carl, a question: have you experimented with adjusting your workflow before the MIDI import? There are many places where you might be able to correct this on the way along the procedure. If you can fix your issue, before importing into Dorico, you might have an easier time afterwards.
Thank you for the suggestion. Although believe me, I have tried many times so as to make a score prep out of a finalized Cubase project, hard-quantizing everything meticulously. But I still keep running into this in Dorico every time . Or perhaps you had something else in mind than quantizing?
Yes, I was thinking of that. I don’t have Cubase, but if you have a look at its Score Editor l, how do your sextuplets display there?
