Double whole note to last all of measure

Hi, couldn’t find an answer for this, but I feel it must have been asked because it is quite common occurrence in notation. sorry for my search skills.

How do I make a double whole note last a whole measure, when the measure doesn’t equal the exact amount of beats?

You’d have to use a hidden tuplet, e.g. 8:7q will give eight quarters/crotchets in the time of seven.

and for the 9, and 11, do the same thing I presume. Ok, that’s a nice trick. Thanks Leo.
