hi there, I’d like to tidy up this score (in bars 4 and 5), the left hand id like to just be a double whole note that just runs through, without the dashed bar line, how do you do this?

If you want the barline in the right hand, but not in the left, then you need a local time signature that applies just to the left hand.

As @benwiggy is saying, it requires local time signatures (Alt+Enter in the popover), and also your double-whole notes have to be tuplets (not sure if you want to keep the solid barline on the buttom staff, but in both cases):

OT: Why not show explicit time sigs reflecting the duration of bars 4 (13/16) and 5 (lost count 
)?
