Doubling the time of a tune section (made of audio events)

I have a tune built up constructed almost entirely of audio events (samples on individual channels) for the beats at least.

How can I stretch this out - like I’d do with a midi section - so that it plays at half-time. This is basically to do a 2nd drop variation.

Is it possible that you use the tempo track to set the projects tempo to half of what it was before?

Figured out that I need to draw the audio events into a part…which then let me stretch it out much like a midi part.

Okay, somehow I was under the impression you didn’t want the actual audio to be stretched, only the starting positions.

Yes, parts are the way to go. Please note that you can resolve a part at any time and that individual events are still accessible when you double click the audio part.
