Mac OS 14 user. When I try to start up Download Assistant it just hangs, never really starts, if I hold the mouse on the icon in the Finder’s bottom tray it just says “Application Not Responding”. I deleted it using the Steinberg uninstaller app, then downloaded the most recent Download Assistant (1.39.3). Tried it, still the same problem.
All I’m trying to do is update from Dorico 6.0.22 to 6.1. Can anyone help??!! Are others experiencing this? Thank you.

Thank you. You first suggested downloading the latest DA and gave a link, but that’s exactly the one I tried before so I doubt there’d be a difference. As far as downloading the 6.1 update directly at the link you give, does that work without the Assistant?

Unfortunately yes, the Steinberg Download Assistant is not the most reliable servant, despite the fact that our engineers are little by little improving the situation.
Well, at least it’s not a necessity, and I can live with it given that Dorico itself is so fantastic. Thanks again.
