Download Assistant not working and no support from Steinberg

Recently forced to change from usb licences to software license as I’m sure many have been.

I upgraded from Cubase Pro 11 to Cubase Pro 14.

Issue is I can’t open Download Assistant I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it over 20 times.

I’ve have sent support tickets numerous times but no one has got back to me.

I’ve been a Cubase user fir nearly 30 years.

Your support is shocking bad I now have paid for an upgrade that I can’t use.

The SDA is a waste of time. Go direct. Scroll down the page to the download.

“Support” has been so bad for so long. You’d think they’d be embarrassed, but they’re not and they don’t care. Too busy making beatz for their new target audience rather than sorting out their infrastructure software.

Also, this is a User forum. So it’s not “our” support.
Search this forum and you’ll find a dozen threads with the same complaint - the SDA is pants.

I done what you suggested and was able to download Cubase 14 pro but now it wont let me open it.

Its saying that my activation code has expired.

i bought and upgrade from cubase pro 11 to cubase pro 14 on the 19th of December 2024 and with all the hassle in trying to download Cubase 14 its now saying the license is expired.

I know this is not your problem and Steinberg should be answering their customers even after several support ticket no one has got back to me.

if you can could you direct me where i might be going wrong with this.

Have you actually activated Cubase using the Activation Manager?
There is no time limit, so far as I know, where activation is concerned.
It should look something like this:


Be warned, when you sign in it may want to log-in to your MySteinberg account online.
