Hi. I’m having problems with the download assistant after the update. When I click my product downloads and select any, I get a message saying there are no downloads for this section. After changing the operating system, I can see the downloads so I go back my own operating system and the downloads continue to appear and I can click on the download. However after I click download I get an error saying; "Error in java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)“Cannot run program “cmd” (indirectory"notAvailable\Steinberg\Install Assistant”):CreateProcess Error=267.Directory name Invalid. Tried reinstalling Assistant, chaning the target folder tried to install to different driver aswell still getting same error. ( Created the Install Assistant folder inside the Steinberg folder. )
Did you install the download assistant with admin privileges?
If yes, did you try as a 2nd test to launch it as an administrator?
Sorry, only Windows point-of-view here.
Yes, I tried every way.
Did you check the folder permissions of the folder the downloads go to?
Can you manually create an empty text file there using notepad?
If the SDA doesn’t work first time, and unless there’s no other choice, use the website. You’re just wasting time trying to get the SDA to work.
Tried those now, still no luck. Thanks for the suggestion.
Is it possible to get the direct download link of the latest Cubase update from the webpage? Couldn’t find it.
All downloads:
Cubase (scroll down past the dire warnings of not using the SDA):
Thanks!
I am also having the same issue. It used to work without issue until now. I’m getting the same error response.
Running Windows 10, everything driverwise is up to date
Looks like some kind of issue with the Steinberg Java scripting.
