Download assistant won't run

I try to run the Download Assistant but the program won’t appear. I check the task master and it shows the assistant program (32 bit) under background processes but there is 0 CPU usage. I reinstalled the latest version from the website, but I’m getting the same results.

Hi,

Have you tried to force quit the Steinberg Download Assistant from the Task Manager, before you reinstalled it? Did you install it as administrator, please?

Does any message appear?

Unfortunately, I have tried that twice. The assistant never appears on the screen though I can see it running via the task manager under background applications.
