My setup: Cubase 10 Pro including Halion Sonic SE3 in combination with an USB licenser
I have a new laptop, I am able to download and install both Cubase and Halion through the download manager, they also both work only I am unable to find the content for Halion within the download manager.
Is there a specific location for the content of Halion Sonic SE3? Any workarounds available?
Thanks for your reply, I installed Halion, and it works within Cubase however the instruments are not available for use (see snippet), any suggestions?
these signs indicate that you don’t own the necessary license to use those files.
Have you downloaded anything else apart from Cubase 10 and Halion Sonic SE3? Did you check Activation Manager to make sure that Halion Sonic is properly activated if necessary?
Also, have a look at the Steinberg Library Manager: are there any libraries which are not accessible (same icon as in your screenshot)?
Just a FYI: Don’t download the latest free Halion Sonic 7 version, it won’t run on Cubase 10 due to the new licensing system. This would invite all sorts of trouble…
Hi,
I went for a complete re-set up, so deleted everything and re-installed, and that worked a charm. I think some old Halion 7 content may have upset everything.
Yes, that’s most probably the cause. As I said, Halion 7 SE does not run on Cubase 10. Hence, you might see its content in MediaBay but you can’t open it.
