Download through Steinberg download assistant fails

Hi,

Am trying to download the 28Gb Halion 6 package through the Steinberg Download Assistant. The download keeps disrupted with the error

"An error occurred while downloading “Halion 6.0.0 full”.
Please try again later.

One solution suggested to change the default download location to other than the default one. I tried that also, but still download keeps failing. Sometimes, it reaches upto 23Gb and fails. When I retry, the downloaded content jumps back upto 18Gb and restarts, but never crosses 23Gb.

Am not able to attach the logs as the forum page says “invalid extension”.
So, copy pasting the content below.

Any help would be really helpful for me.

I could not find a generic forum, hence posted. If there is a more appropriate forum, kindly point it out, as am stuck on the download failure for nearly 2 days now.

Hi. I have the same problem, and i’ve been trying to download from 2 differents computers and browsers. No success. I thought it was a kid of local problem, but by now, can we intend that issue is coming from their Steinberg’s Servers?

I’ve also tried with that link:

Same Problem here.
Get Errormessage but not the installbits of Halion Sonic.
Will try to setup a support request as it seems that there is something broken.

Keep you informed if I get some hints.

I have also failed to download Cubase Elements 10 - 3 or 4 times within the Download Assistant, straight from browser using the link, and within a 3rd party download manager. All of them fail at consistent times, and I suspect it’s their server that’s the issue.

Trying to download Cubase 10 Pro, failed on 20Gig partly downloaded file is on my Hard drive but now the download assistant has restarted from the beginning, ive had this thing downloading since yesterday WTF???

This is disturbing. In the C10 presales forum I asked specifically that if the download is disrupted will it pickup from where it left off:

I’m experiencing the same issue with Cubase Elements 10 (attempting to upgrade from 9). I attempted this twice and as I’m not using fiber optic broadband it is particularly frustrating.

'An error occured while downloading ‘Cubase Elements 10.0.30 Full and Update Installer’.

As with others experiencing this issue. I got close to the 15.7Gb level of data and received the error message and the installer returns to zero to begin the process anew.

If anyone has been offered or worked out a fix for this please let me now.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue for years now. ALL downloads from ANYWHERE on Steinberg fail across Edge, Chrome AND Firefox.
