Is this not possible? Do I really have to render it then drag it in from explorer or desktop? Why cant we drag the audio directly from the track?

Not possible…The last post in this thread sums up why.
Ah thanks… I guess its good to have the “extra info” but kind of an inconvenience to workflow with kontakt… ah well.
This is exactly why I switched to Halion, better work flow for sampling, drag n drop n slice all in one go… but of course you’ll still need Kontakt for Kontakt instruments.
