Drag to extend a midi clip?

I have a midi clip that is 2 measures long. I want it to be four measures long (repeating the pattern). Other than just copying the clip, can I select and drag it to the length I want, having the pattern repeated for the entire length?

You’ll have to copy it. BTW, we call it a “MIDI part” in Cubase (and since Cubase introduced this concept and all other DAWs copied it, they are all doing it wrong; 1989, baby).

There are different ways to place copies directly after the original part. I like to use this handle while holding down Shift, in order to create shared copies.

All right, thanks, I was hoping to extend the “part” so it was one longer part (looping the contents), and not make copies of a shorter part. You can do that in pro tools.

You can glue them togehter afterwards!

Currently only the Pattern Events of Cubase 14 allow to do something like that. But then you’d have to work in the Pattern Editor instead of the Key Editor. So, not ideal either.
