It would be very useful if scrolling remained enabled while dragging a track in the Project window. Currently, when I click and hold the left mouse button on a track without moving the mouse, I can use the scroll wheel to navigate up or down. However, as soon as I move the mouse slightly and start dragging, the scroll wheel becomes disabled. The only way to continue moving the track is by dragging it to the top or bottom edge of the Project window to trigger auto-scroll, which is very slow and inefficient.
On MacOS this apparently already works!
yeah this is very frustrating and i dont know why all daws on windows except pro tools have this issue. its a terrible issue for power users who work with dozens of tracks and need to reposition something, or move an item vertically across the entire project. cubase on windows generally struggled with ergonomics compared to macos, the horizontal scroll was wrong direction all up until cubase 15. its a shame because this is the best daw overall but workflow is held back by quirks like this.
