Everytime I drag zoom there is a delay and drag zooming is something I do all the time. UI is irritating sluggish and I don’t think there’s a workaround.
I always hold shift while drag zooming. It doesn’t affect the play position and less delay.
10.0.50 - no delay while zoom in/out by mouse on line

Just found this post. Drag zoom always worked fine until Cubase 13 and now it lags. Incredibly annoying. Holding shift does work - thanks for this.
Why did it change though? My hand isn’t on the keyboard a lot of the time - I have a mouse in my right hand and a control surface on the left, so holding shift every time I need to zoom is baaad
