I have been reading the forum for the last two nights. I can find no solution to the following problem:
When I drag a part in the main C8.5 window, there is a delay between the new “dragged to” position and the actual part catching up to the new position. Also the part actually swings or “rubber-bands” as it is dragged side to side in the main window.
Here’s what I know for sure. This never occurred in C7.5. Though I downloaded and installed C8, I never opened it. Instead, I downloaded C8.5 and went directly to C8.5 for starting my new project.
As far as I can tell, the only real graphic-related difference between C7.5 and C8.5 is that I needed to engage AERO on Win7 to run C8.5. As a trouble-shooting measure, I used C7.5 with AERO and found it is still working well (no drag-lag).
Is there some setting in Preferences or Project Setup that I need to change to get C8.5 to perform without the graphic lagging when I drag parts?
One last thing - I am generally an understanding individual, however I did not appreciate Steinberg erasing my previous post on this issue a few days ago, because it didn’t meet the criteria for posting in the Issue Reports forum. The least Steinberg could have done is move my original post to this Misc forum. You kinda pissed off a customer that has been with you since the early 80’s - not very smart…but take solace in knowing I haven’t walked away in silence.
Any help is appreciated fellow users,
Joey Daddario
