Fairly new to this program, and I’ve just tried using it to make a setlist for my band.
There are a couple of things that I feel like I must be too dumb to figure out how to do, because there’s no way they wouldn’t be included in the basic functionality of a program like this.
First of all, when I’m dragging tracks to line them up to a beat, the waveforms stay dormant, so I can’t actually see how the track is going to line up until I let go of the mouse. Since the start of the track does move, I could split the track and drag it to where it needs to be, then open the track up again so it’s the full track without the split…. but once the track is split, the option to drag the track out on the left hand side is not available. In fact, it seems like dragging a track from the left hand side is NEVER available…? I must be doing something wrong because again, there’s no way these could not be basic functions in a program like this.
Secondly, importing tempo maps… Do you really have to pay over $1000 for cubase PRO just to be able to import a tempo map? This is again, such a basic feature for a program like this. We are playing back backing tracks, and some are inevitably going to have tempo changes. Even if they don’t have tempo changes, why is importing a tempo map with a MIDI track not just automatically done?
