Drawing staff lines

I really don’t know why Dorico can’t draw staff lines the way I’m used to. My old method works perfectly, so it’s unbelievable that Dorico can’t do something as basic as this, without making me jump through hoops to learn some ‘different’ method.

In other news, I got given this ‘competing product’ for Christmas.

Have you tried Finale? Everyone says it does everything in one simple click…nothing to learn, really intuitive.
